Days until we Walk for Life on January 25, 2025

God bless them!

Hundreds of thousands of pro-life Americans (and certainly some from other countries too) braved record cold in Washington DC today to stand for the ideas on which America was built, with the littlest and most numerous victims of violence in the world today, and against legalized murder.

People as far as the eye can see. Every year it is the largest, not demonstration, but manifestation–we are using the word in the sense that Anglican Bishop Eric Menees taught us–in the United States. As the Bishop said:

Often we buy into the media description of these events as Protest Rallies – I disagree.  In Spanish this is called a ‘manifestación’ – easily translated into English as ‘manifestation.’ That is what this is…a manifestation of Jesus’ presence and love for the most vulnerable and fragile in our midst – pregnant mothers and the babies in their wombs.”

God bless the organizers who work so hard, and God bless the hundreds of thousand who were undeterred by the vicious weather. There are no numbers in yet, but that hardly matters. The March for Life is so big, that one might as well just round to the nearest half-million!
