Our dear friend, Dr. Haywood Robinson, MD, a stalwart hero of the pro-life movement, went home to the Lord this past weekend. We were blessed to have his powerful presence gracing the Walk for Life West Coast for many years.
He would arrive a day or two early, so he could join his good friends and comrades Walter and Lori Hoye at the Stand Up 4 Life rally and march that takes place annually in Oakland on the Friday before the Walk.
Dr. Robinson’s conversion story—starting his career as an abortionist, eventually coming to realize the horrific, irrational evil of abortion, to finally becoming a pro-life activist is well-known in the pro-life community. Our friend Steve Ertelt at LifeNews has a good article.
It is striking, albeit logical, how many doctors and other medical professionals who have actually experienced the reality of the abortion business (Dr. Bernard Nathanson, Dr. Vansen Wong, Dr. John Bruchalski to name just three who have joined us at the Walk) end up on the side of LIFE!
We will miss him terribly. Our hearts and prayers go out to his wife Daphne, and to Dr. Robinson’s legions of friends and admirers.
