Do we ever love hearing stories like this! Young men considering a religious vocation attending the Walk for Life West Coast! From the Facebook page of the Capuchins, Western American Province:
We had a “Come and See” retreat over the weekend with a lot of great and inspiring young men. We had them experience prayer, communal life, liturgy, the Walk for Life, the Catholic Underground, and the National Shrine of St. Francis. It was a blessed weekend. Please keep these candidates in your prayers as they discern God’s will in their lives. #vocations
And from the parish bulletin of the National Shrine of St. Francis in San Francisco (whose rector, Fr. John De La Riva, OFM Cap. is a great friend to the Walk, hosting the Latin Mass on Saturday, night and Walk-related events the day after):
Last Sunday’s Mass, Jan. 27th, was enriched by the presence of the brothers and visiting candidates from the Capuchin House of Studies in Berkeley, accompanied by Fr. Peter Banks, OFM Cap, Vocation Director for the Western Province. The principal celebrant was Fr. Peter Mussett from the Denver Archdiocese, pastor of the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Center, a student group from Boulder, Colorado.
“Thank you all for your prayers during the past weekend. The Come and See retreat was a success and the young men participated with us in communal prayer, liturgy, the Walk for Life, the Catholic Underground, fraternal recreation, and a visit/ Mass at the Shrine. It was a blessed time.” -Brother Victor Taglianetti, Capuchin student friar.
May God be with these young men every step of the way as they discern their vocation! St. Francis, pray for us!
