Here’s a lovely invitation from Bishop Daniel H. Mueggenborg of Reno, inviting his flock to the Walk for Life West Coast. The letter is from the December 7 bulletin of St. Gall’s parish in Gardnerville, NV. Thank you, Excellency, and thank you good people of St. Gall’s!
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Peace be with you during these holy days of Advent when we prepare to welcome our Lord Jesus who is the Way, the Truth, and the LIFE. As people of faith who are disciples of Jesus, we continue our efforts to instill a true respect for the sanctity of life in our communities and nation.
As part of the variety of ways we may participate, I call to your attention the Walk for Life West Coast. The Walk will occur on Saturday, January 22, 2022, and our diocese cosponsors several buses for participants to travel to San Francisco for the event. I encourage you to be a courageous witness for all human life from conception until natural death – especially the most vulnerable life of the unborn baby. The Walk for Life is one such way to mark the 49th anniversary of the Supreme Court decision which legalized abortion throughout our country. Since then more than 62,000,000 children have died at the hands of abortionists. Let us all pray for the Holy Spirit to guide the U.S. Supreme Court justices as they consider the recent case which could change that tragic decision. Thank you for your efforts to promote and defend the dignity of all human life. With every best wish and an assurance of prayers, I remain, Yours in Christ,
Most Reverend Daniel H. Mueggenborg
Bishop of Reno
